Berlin International Literature Festival

The 9th International Berlin Literature Festival kicks off on 9th September and continues until 19 September at a number of venues around the city. The Focus this year is the Arab World with 38 invited authors from all over the Arab world – for full list click here

In addition, Margaret Obank will be speaking about Banipal’s work at a panel entitled Reflections: What to read? – Ways to procure literature on Saurday, 12 September at 13:00, at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele (Main Venue of the Festival), Upper Foyer.

Also on 12 September at 13:00, Samuel Shimon will be taking part in a panel entitled: Reflections: Iraqi Literature and Exile, at the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, with fellow Iraqi authors with Ali Bader, Jabbar Yassin Hussein and Abbas Khider
