The party is hosted by Ian McMillan, with readers including 2013 Forward Prize for Best First Collection winner Emily Berry, plus Fleur Adcock, John Agard, Peter Finch, Jen Hadfield, Kei Miller, Daljit Nagra, Brenda Shaughnessy, Amjad Nasser (with Margaret Obank reading the English translations) and Warsan Shire.
Amjad Nasser is a major contributor to today’s Arab poetry scene. His first English collection Shepherd of Solitude, in translation from the Arabic by Khaled Mattawa, was published in 2009 by Banipal Books.
