Musa Hawamdeh
was born in Palestine in the town of As-Samu’. He published his first collection of poems in Amman in 1988. He has won a number of awards including the Jordanian Writers Association Award for non-members, the ‘La Plume’ prize awarded by the French Fondation Oriani in 2006, and the Terranova Festival Award.
