Raji Bathish was born in Nazareth in 1970. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and a diploma in Screenwriting from the Screenwriting Academy in Tel Aviv. Bathish has taken part in a number of literary events and forums all over the world, in Cairo, Paris, Italy, Ramallah and Gaza. He has written one play entitled Fiqdan (Loss), which incorporates poetry, modern dance and video art and has published two books of poetry and five collections of short stories. His most famous collection is Gurfa fi Tell Abib (A Room in Tel Aviv) published in 2007 in Beirut and Amman by the Arab Foundation for Studies and Publication.
