was born in Casablanca in 1965, where she lives, teaching at Hassan II University and also presenting a cultural programme that is a collaboration between Deutsche Welle and Moroccan television. Since 2003 she has published three collections of short stories in Arabic, Raghba Faqat (Just a Desire, 2003), Dafa’ir (Braids, 2006) and Akhafu min . . . (I’m Afraid of . . ., 2010), and one in Spanish with the Spanish author Hipólito G Navarro.
