is a Palestinian-American. After growing up in Jordan and studying in Lebanon and then the US, where she remained for two decades, she now lives in Cyprus. Her poetry and creative essays have appeared most recently in 91st Meridian, Perihelion Review, Human Architecture: Journal of the Sociology of Self-Knowledge, World Literature Today, Cadences: A Journal of Literature and the Arts in Cyprus, and Wild In Our Breasts For Centuries: Women and the Returning Realities of War. She is co-editor of Going Global: The Transnational Reception of Third World Women Writers; Etel Adnan: Critical Essays on the Arab-American Writer and Artist; and Intersections: Gender, Nation and Community in Arab Women’s Novels.

Her poetry collection Geographies of Light, winner of the Del Sol Press Poetry Prize, was published in 2009.
