Miral al-Tahawy
was born in 1968 and studied Literature at Cairo University. She has published a collection of short stories and two novels, Al-Khibaa’ (1996) (The Tent, 2000) and Blue Aubergine (2002), both translated by Anthony Calderbank and published by AUC Press, Cairo.
