Sofiene Rajab was born in Enfida in Tunisia in 1979. He is particularly known as a short story writer and poet.

He wrote four poetry collections, and two short story collections, one of them, Al-Sa‘a al-Akheera (2018, The Last Hour) being shortlisted for the 2019 Almultaqa Prize. He has one novel, Al-Qirrd al-Librali (2017, The Liberal Monkey).

He has won three awards for his poetry. In 2007 he won the Algerian Moufdi Zakaria Prize for Poetry, in 2009 the Moroccan Tanjer Prize for Poetry, and in 2018 the Egyptian Afifi Matar Prize.

He currently works as a promotor for the Tunisian Ministry of Culture.
