Zuheir al-Hiti is an Iraqi writer and journalist, born in 1957 and currently living in Germany.
He has published three novels: My Distant Day (2002), American Dust (2009) and Days of Dust (2016), the latter being longlisted for the 2017 International Prize for Arabic Fiction and excerpted in Banipal 59's main feature The Longlist. He has also published an academic study, The Image of the Iraqi in the Arabic Novel (2006).
