Ruth Martin
Ruth Martin gained her PhD in German studies in 2006, and now translates fiction and non-fiction from German, with a particular focus on history, philosophy and psychology.
Her translation of Bettina Stangneth's Eichmann Before Jerusalem was one of the New York Times' "100 notable books" of 2014. She also teaches translation at the University of Kent, and is a member of the UK Translators Association committee.
