Rajae Benchemsi
Rajae Benchemsi was born in Meknes, Morocco, in 1957. She studied French literature and wrote her thesis on Maurice Blanchot. In addition to writing many articles, she has published poetry collections in both Morocco and France. She has also published three novels, with Marrakech, lumière d'exil (2003) excerpted in Banipal 48 – Narrating Marrakech.
