was born in January 1977. She graduated in Philosophy from the University of Damascus in 2001. Since 1998 she has published five novels and one collection of poetry. The first edition of Banat Na’ash, excerpted above, was published in 2005 by Dar Shahrazad, Damascus. In 2008, the third edition was published by Dar Mamdouh Adwan. Lina works as a journalist for the culture section of the Syrian newspaper, Al-Thawra.
