Susan Muaddi Darraj is Associate Professor of English at Harford Community College in Bel Air MD and a Lecturer in creative writing in the Johns Hopkins Graduate Writing Program. Her collection of short stories, The Inheritance of Exile, was a finalist for the AWP Book Awards and was published by University of Notre Dame Press. It was named Book of the Year for short fiction by ForeWord Magazine. An extract from her novel The Well appears in Banipal 38.
