Luzette Strauss
studied Afrikaans/Nederlands at the University of Cape Town. She has worked as a journalist, teacher and translator in South Africa and the UK, where she now lives. She has translated Mahala by Chris Barnard from Afrikaans (Aflame Books 2009).

The Mosaic Rooms celebrates theartistic and poetic works of the great Syrian poet Adonis with talks and events from 3-8 February and an exhibition of Adonis's collages from 3 February until 30 March.
