is from Barcelona, Spain, and is regarded as one of Spain’s best contemporary love poets. As well as poetry collections, her numerous publications include novels, essays, and biographies.

She has translated Turkish, Czech, English, Chinese, Persian, Arabic and French authors, working with the authors.

Janés has received several awards for her poetry as well as for prose and translations; and was awarded the Premio Jaime Gil de Biedma in 2002. 

Her works have been translated into many languages, including Arabic, Persian and Icelandic. She lives in Madrid.
