was born in Beirut, Lebanon. She received a BA in English Literature from the American University of Beirut, an MA in Twentieth Century Literature from Leeds University, UK, and is currently a doctoral candidate in Comparative Literature at Brown University, USA. She currently lives in Beirut, where she is teaching at AUB and doing dissertation research.
