Roger Allen
is Professor of Arabic Language and Literature in the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. He has written and published many books and essays on Arabic literature and has translated many modern Arabic narratives. He is a contributing editor of Banipal.
