was born in 1970 in Syria. She has a degree in Arabic Literature and is currently a cinema and television critic. She has published two novels and two collections of short stories, written three film scripts, two television dramas and a documentary on the life of Syrian academic Anton Maqdesi. She is active in literary, women’s and human rights issues, and has edited the e-zine Women of Syria.
