Lutfiya al-Dulaimi
was born in Diyala, Iraq. She has published ten books of fiction, five plays and three books of essays. She has translated four books from English into Arabic. She presently lives in Jordan. See back issues Banipal 19 and Banipal 30 for more of her works in translation.

The Mosaic Rooms celebrates theartistic and poetic works of the great Syrian poet Adonis with talks and events from 3-8 February and an exhibition of Adonis's collages from 3 February until 30 March.
