is an Algerian author and journalist who currently lives in Beirut. She was born in November 1967 in Arris, in the Batna Province of Algeria. She studied Medicine for two years at the University of Batna before changing to the University of Constantine to study Arabic Language and Literature, graduating in 1994. She gained an MA in 2002 on “The structure of Arabic women’s novels in Algeria” and is now pursuing her PhD on “The writings of Ghada al-Samman considered through Reception Aesthetics”. She has published a collection of short stories and four novels. Some of her works have been translated into Spanish, French and Italian. She has published numerous serialised stories in newspapers and magazines and has also written several works for radio.
