Yousef Khalifah Fatehallah was born in Kuwait, 1977. He is an author, photographer and weekly columnist for the newspaper al-Kuwaitiyya. He received a Diploma in Telecommunications from the College of Technological Studies in Kuwait as well as a Diploma in Portrait Photography from the London Academy of Media, 2007. His published works include a collection of short stories, Al-‘Ain al-Thalithah (The Third Eye) in 2003, and a collection of very short stories, Afkar ‘Aariyah (Nude Thoughts) in 2007. He won the second Leila Othman Prize in 2008, awarded for novels and short stories by young writers.
