Basim al-Ansar
was born in Baghdad, Iraq, in 1970. He has been publishing his poetry since the early 1990s, and since 1998 has lived in Denmark. He is one of the Hay Festival’s Beirut39 Arab authors. His poems have featured in Banipal 37 and Banipal 74.
