Hamid al-Iqabi
was born in 1956 in al-Kut, Iraq. He left in 1982 and since 1985 has been living in Denmark. Between 1986 and 1994 he published five collections of poetry. In 2002 he published an autobiographical novel Asghi ila Ramadi [Listening to my Ashes] and in 2004 a collection of short stories, Thammata Ashiya’in Ukhra.
