Among the performers, the poets published by Banipal included:

Ramsey Nasr, Poet Laureate of the Netherlands (Dichter des Vaderlands), had two performances at the Festival. His first book in English translation is just published by Banipal Books – Heavenly Life – Selected Poems.

Nujoom al-Ghanem
, from the United Arab Emirates, whom some saw earlier this year at the Ledbury Poetry Festival or the London Literature Festival, made a return visit. Also Nathalie Handal, Elmaz Abinader and Lisa Suhair Majaj – four Arab American poets.  These four poets had works published in Banipal 38 – Arab American Authors. Also in the issue was Fady Joudah, who was performing on Saturday 30 October
